According to the latest report from the editor-in-chief of the Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb (TMW), Marco Conterio, Napoli is maintaining continuous communication and contact with the representatives of Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
The report suggests a conflict between the club’s wishes and the player's intentions. Manchester United is reportedly unwilling to let Mainoo leave before the end of January (the close of the winter transfer window).
However, despite the club's reluctance, Conterio claims that both the player himself and his team of representatives are actively pushing to finalize the transaction as quickly as possible.
This development signals a potential transfer saga, with Napoli eager to secure the young midfielder and Mainoo's camp determined to push through a move, even while United hopes to retain him for the remainder of the month.
