Ahead of Chelsea's Champions League match against Atalanta, forward Alejandro Garnacho spoke to TNT Sports about the team's ambitions and his personal transition to the club.
Garnacho asserted that Chelsea has already demonstrated they are a strong team capable of competing at the top this season, expressing hope for a victory against Atalanta while acknowledging it will be a difficult match.
Responding to comments that the Premier League is proving its superiority over other leagues following Chelsea's 3-0 win against Barcelona, Garnacho maintained that every game is different. While he recognized that beating one of the world’s best teams naturally sparks discussion about dominance, he believes Chelsea’s inherent strength has been proven, reinforcing their capability to compete at the top of the table. He acknowledged that Chelsea's World Champion status commands respect, but stressed that any team, regardless of the league, can be defeated on a given day.
Regarding his personal journey, Garnacho stated he is feeling "very, very good" now. He admitted that the initial few months at Chelsea were the hardest, as moving to a new team involves adapting to entirely new and different circumstances. However, he credited the team for providing significant help, allowing him to now feel "very comfortable and very happy" as he looks forward to the upcoming match.
